The Somalia Wildlife and Natural History Society is an independent membership based Society, established 21st October, 2015 as a not-for-profit grassroots indigenous conservation NGO, one of the leading organizations in Somalia advocating for wise use and conservation of biodiversity, natural resources and environment.

SWNHS promotes understanding, appreciation and conservation of nature through working closely with the Somali Government and Non-governmental conservation institutions, individuals, schools, higher learning institutions, community groups and other conservation organizations engaged in issues pertaining the conservation of biodiversity to ensure that the future generations treasure and protect the Somalia’ natural heritage.
